Chad Cooper (BSCE) got his start in engineering design 13 years ago with a local civil design firm. After competing both on the State and National level with AutoCADD, he was brought on as an engineering technician. It was during this time that he learned the finer points of site design using CADD programs, field survey and staking, and working closely with clients to ensure that their needs were met through civil design.
After starting work on his bachelors degree at Northern Arizona University, Chad went on to start his own engineer consulting firm. Over the next two years he contracted his work out on projects throughout Northern Arizona working closely with engineer and client alike on a wide range of civil engineering projects.
It was during this time that he began work with Take Off Professionals. Chad has been working on data prep projects with TOPS with projects ranging from small commercial sites to multi million projects for the Army Corps of Engineers. His combination of experience from field survey, civil design and education allows him to not only find errors in design quickly, but also correct them. His process of building models is always evolving as he finds quicker and more efficient ways to accurately build 3D models of civil design sites.
Averaging over 170 projects a year with TOPS from Florida to California, ranging in size from 1 acre to 1500 acres, he can offer insights on keeping your data clean, quick and without error.
