Trimble Introduces Performance Manager to Make Field Operations More Efficient
Written by Trimble Navigation Limited
Sunday, 16 August 2009

SUNNYVALE, Calif., July 15, 2009 — Trimble (NASDAQ: TRMB) introduced the Trimble® Performance Manager™, a unique alerting and business intelligence application that works in conjunction with the Trimble GeoManager™ tracking solution, Trimble Taskforce™ scheduling solution or flexible third-party scheduling systems. Trimble Performance Manager alerts companies managing field operations when there is a deviation between what is planned and what is actually occurring in the field, allowing cost reductions through fewer miles driven and better utilization of fleet vehicles, which also decreases an organization's carbon footprint.

Traditionally, mobile workers relied on time consuming interactions between drivers, field technicians, dispatchers, and managers to indicate arrival on-site or a job completion. Performance Manager merges a field technician's schedule for the day with real-time activities and intelligently finds trends and relationships, providing an organization with insight to set accurate and achievable key performance indicators. To enhance customer service, the application can also alert dispatchers to adapt original plans by reassigning jobs to meet arrival time requirements or alerting customers of a new time window based on real-time information from the field.

Trimble Mobile Resource Management (MRM) solutions are designed to automate the management of mobile resources and to optimize the service delivery process for customers across a variety of industries. Trimble delivers MRM solutions on a global basis to vertical markets which include: telco, cable, construction supply, field service, and transportation & distribution. Trimble MRM solutions are designed to provide a secure, scalable, upgradeable, enterprise-class platform, and are offered in on-demand software delivery, on-premise or hybrid environments that can seamlessly connect mobile workers in the field to real-time data. More information about Trimble MRM solutions can be found at www.trimble.com/mobile_resource_management.
