Noland
Welcome! September was a busy month, travel-wise.
First up was Wirtgen's Mineral Technology Days in Windhagen, Germany. As the name implies, mining technology was the focus with the spotlight on new Wirtgen Surface Miners and Kleemann crushing and screening machines. I must say I was impressed with the production workflow. I was not alone as some 1,400 mining specialists and quarry operators from more than 65 countries were on hand to experience the machine technology live.
The Wirtgen Group put on a first class event. It was fantastic and all are to be commended. In the near future, I will be writing an article on Surface Miners and how they are creating new, productive workflows. You can see some of the images I captured by clicking here.
We also attended MINExpo 2012 in Las Vegas (see video of the week below). A record-setting 45,000 visitors rewarded 1,800+ exhibitors, the energy and optimism was epidemic. Copies of our latest magazine (titled "Modern Mining") were distributed to attendees—you can view it here.
Best regards,
Randy Noland

Redefine FAST with Topcon’s 3D-MC²

3D-MC² will drastically change the role your dozer plays on a typical site, in some cases eliminating the need for a grader. It will also allow you to make more efficient use of your dozer.

Along with speed increases, 3D-MC² means fewer passes resulting in much more work done in less time.
