Welcome to our mid-month newsletter. I'm in Paris for Intermat 2009. I'll post updates as I find time, with more coverage in upcoming issues. It's going to be a busy week!
Speaking of shows, we just wrapped up Carlson Software's 2009 User Conference. We've posted videos of the keynote speeches from Bruce Carlson, PE (President of Carlson Software), and Brent Jones, PE, PLS (of ESRI). You'll find the videos in our spotlight section below, they're definitely worth your time.
Also topping this newsletter is our brand new FAQ article. Paul Hahn (Associate Editor here at MCo) and I took some time to respond to questions we've received since our launch. We also took a moment to discuss the direction of the site. I hope you will take a look!
Oh, and one more thing! Please don't forget to pass us along. Building readership is the name of the game so please don't hesitate to forward our newsletter to friends and colleagues. If you'd really like to help, download and post our "Please Visit Us" graphic to your site. We'll gladly link back to anyone that links to us. Just drop me a line to confirm!
Thanks so much for your continued support.
Best regards,
Randy Noland

Also, our "Anatomy of a 3D Dozer" video has been quite a success! Check it out if you didn't get a chance last time around. The video (from Randy Noland, Managing Editor) discusses the anatomy of components for a 3D Dozer Machine Control System. It covers system components, their placements and the scaleable options provided by the system technology. These include the Control Box (computer, touchscreen display with machine control software), axial sensors, GNSS receiver box, GNSS antennae and the blade mast.
